FMOP Awards 2026: Ariel V. Nicolas Named FM Professional of the Year

FMOP recognizes Ariel V. Nicolas as the recipient of the FM Professional of the Year award at the FMOP Awards Night 2026.

Engr. Nicolas serves as Head of the General Services Department at Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation in Lucena City, where he oversees facilities operations and maintenance management.

His initiatives include the development and implementation of the GSD Work Management System, introduced in January 2026 to improve job order monitoring, scheduling, and maintenance coordination.

The system addressed operational challenges, including a backlog of 209 open job orders, and achieved an overall service-level compliance rate of 93.91 percent during the first six months of implementation.

His department also completed the conversion of all 7,503 campus lighting fixtures to LED technology, supporting improved energy efficiency.

The FM Professional of the Year award recognizes sustained professional excellence, leadership, and measurable improvements in facilities management.
