FMOP Session on Energy and Sustainability Brings Together FM Community

5 May 2026

FMOP recently held a session focused on energy and sustainability, bringing together members of the FMOP community to discuss key developments and practical approaches in managing energy across facilities.

Held on April 28, 2026 in partnership with First Gen, the session highlighted the growing importance of energy efficiency and renewable energy in facilities management. As organizations continue to navigate rising energy costs and sustainability targets, the role of facility leaders in driving more efficient and responsible operations becomes increasingly critical.

The session featured a keynote presentation by Atty. Chiara Blanco, titled “A Nation Powered by Green – Building Facilities Management with Renewable Energy.” The discussion provided insights on the evolving energy landscape and how facilities can begin integrating cleaner energy solutions into their operations.

This was followed by a panel discussion that explored practical strategies on power sourcing, energy management, and decarbonization, offering participants a more grounded perspective on how these concepts can be applied within their respective facilities.

The session forms part of FMOP’s ongoing efforts to support knowledge-sharing within the community and to promote more structured and forward-looking approaches in facilities management.

As FMOP continues to expand its initiatives, similar sessions will be introduced to address key topics relevant to the industry and provide practical value to facility professionals across different sectors.
